Dead.Guru is governed entirely by a team of dedicated volunteer staff who have equal voting power within the organization. Our goal is to maintain a community-driven platform where open-source software and peer-directed projects can thrive.

Decisions within Dead.Guru are predominantly made by the membership as a whole, while the board focuses on organizational tasks such as bookkeeping and member list management. Within the organization, there are three specialized teams: Projects and Community, Engineering, and Operations. Members have the option to join these teams based on their interests and expertise.

The board comprises a chair, a treasurer, and a representative from each specialized team. Board members are elected by the organization's membership to ensure a democratic and transparent decision-making process.
